The story of…

A forest can look dark, grim and scary at times. Especially when using dark inks. The layer in these prints are credited to the variations in ink used and the way of applying it to the plate. In the Etching proces we first put ink on the entire plate and then remove the ink carefully leaving it in the groves. Yet as the printer (not the machine) you get to choose where and when to leave extra ink on the plate for one print yet removing it for an other.

Experimenting in this matter also gives the inside on how the make the plate better for future prints. If or when deciding to make extra groves or even try to get groves away again.
